    The duo found themselves smack dab in the middle of the Silver Rush. Thankfully, Kong Yan had a hint of skill with the needle and thread and found herself well employed as a seamstress. The expected peace seemed to last amicably that is until the Triad’s local chapter during Hai’s school years found out of his presence. A letter and then a telegraph  was scent to Hong Kong filling in that sect of the location of their young heir and the wife who had escaped from Zan. Zan arrived in the region around the same time his response as to what to do had, taking a small collection of the local Triads a very small group he mused. Though due to the delay they arrived around the time Hai turned 12 in 1844. The sudden intrusion caused Yan to push her son back towards his private room.Within in his room in a panic Hai had for the first time in his life shifted, from his frail human form into that of a large white Tiger. He curled upon the bed, and his mother found him, not fear but concern. “We can’t let them know… you inherited that too.” She muttered softly.

    Zan was all grins when he saw the tiger form of his son. “Look he’s inherited my gifts.” But as the man entered, Hai in tiger form striked down from being  wrapped around his mother. The battle was short but he’d tossed his father aside deep marks in his side as the man thudded into the wall shifting slowly into his own form. The others who had arrived with Zan retreated from Hai’s stalking strikes. Though it seemed his blows had only stunned his father, who had shifted into a Clouded Leopard, the smaller but much more nimble creature attacked Hai. As Zan hit his son, he shifted his form into a large half Clouded Leopard Human form, with strength beyond that of even the Tiger. Pinning his son to the ground and the men moved to threaten his mother. Hai was then forced to submit and return to his human form, in awe of the form his father had shown and stepping into place as another pawn for the growing power base of the Triad here in Silver Town.

    Hai spent the next three years in service to the Tirads till their ever expanding power and desires finally drew the urk and annoyance of Lelouch. Who using his various connections delivered all the knowledge he had on the secret organization through informants to the peacekeeper’s through Ravina. Armed with this knowledge Nicholai Cromwell, sent in Shikoba Hattori and a small group of Peacekeepers to end the influence of the Triads upon Silver Town. The battle was bloody but one sided, as they managed to find Hai, who’d been trained in various forms of combat and behaviors but his will had not been broken fully. Though quiet the moment he was shown a chance he transitioned into the form of a white tiger as he stalked through with the raiding party. Hai took the chance to slaughter his father Zan, no remorse and no restraint as the tiger thought of how the man had used him and sold his mother to that Brothel.

    Hai was allowed to join and in fact told he really should fall in service with the Peacekeepers to keep himself in control. The strange boy was the first Were-creature they had a chance to interact with that wasn’t fully under the sway of another powerful creature. Hai was taken in as an apprentice though they forced him to remain at the Isle mostly to work on various technologies, proving to be quite an adept little tinkerer. The remains of his training with the Triads constantly being refreshed and up kept by his own quiet mind. The possibility of unleashing him in the field is growing closer by the day though.

    Though, even well he was quietly working for the PeaceKeepers once he found the records on the name of the brothel his mother was sold into slavery at. Hai slipped out in the night and visited it. Finding a young woman there by the name of Nena who spoke of an older woman but it turns out she had ended up passing away. The exact cause of death is unknown but aftewards Hai continued to visit that brothel sneaking into the room of the young woman who’d greeted and told him of the fate of his mother.
