Argento after Aurum's Invasion

Three years have passed since the invasion of Aurum, and the installation of Governor Asubi Nori. The man had ended the invasion of Aurum but they had never gotten their freedoms or rights they once enjoyed back in Argento. Though over the past few months the number of soldiers still lingering in the region had dwindled as the new Argento based defense force the Oathkeepers had finally finished establishing and training their first full group of members.

The tension between Maplewharf and Silver Town had come to a very low simmer as their major grievances now rested against the Oathkeepers and the oppressive behavior of the Envoy from Aurum Lady Ayla Luna. Both settlements though continued to blame one another for the arrival of this outside force and failed to comprehend or even consider the possibility of uniting against their new common enemy.

During the invasion and immediately afterward several former major players within Argento disappeared into the wind. Lord Goodnight, Lady Annipe, and Ravina to name a small fraction of them. Those of Fey blood also seemed to retreat into the woods and the Fox himself the one who had caused this invasion had not returned to the public eye.

The Governor's major motive seems to be to expand and grow his power base, to ensure this he is allowing Dundirth full access to Goodnight's former mine. Well supplying them with Earth Elementals to aid and gather the minerals faster and more completely than it had ever been possible before.

The Oathkeepers have been actively working with the Aurum military; suppressing and controlling those who would dare question or challenge the new way of life. Some are taking this to extremes though their oath seems to indicate that is not their true meaning or mission. As such a small fraction of those who joined the former organization, The Peacekeepers have broken their ties with this new organization. Naming themselves The Oathbreakers, and standing up to them from the shadows.

The settlement of Maplewharf is now governed by a council of elders most of who had some slight or major affiliation with the Governor or has been offered something for their service. Silvertown, on the other hand, has general elections but those who can become Mayor are always hand picked by the Governor, who insists that no Corrumpere are to be trusted. Rumors of the continuation of the slave camps from before also echo between the two towns, though mostly the rumors now speak of it being populated by those people who used to work and aid in the mistreatment of the Priores before in the mines and the railway. These slave labor camps seem to be hidden just out of public eye and any who do find true proof rarely make it back to share it with the rest of the population.

Dundirth has by far been the most successful out of this turn of events fully opening their gates their products are now readily available for purchase across Silvertown and Maplewharf respectfully. The Dwarven builders have taken the aid of Aurum and gotten even better at their crafts mimicking the strange weapons of the Elves and making an improvement upon improvement to the point their own equipment is on par if not beyond the Elves current general weapons. They have continued to supply the new Oathkeepers, though they also supply the Oathbreakers, as a coin is a coin. Malva’s own history with representives of the Oathbreakers allows her the reasoning to turn here eyes aside and let this smuggling continue.
