The Corrumpere
The Corrumpere think of themselves as Progressors, but are also known as the Invaders to the Priores. Their singular goal is to churn this land up for the valuable resources in the depths of the mountains, the vast forests and the numerous wild beasts. They take even the Priores as a valuable asset they can corrupt and plunder to further their own wicked plots.
This loose collection of allies is primarily made up of Vrykolakas, Weres, Humans and slaves from the Priores and other such settlements worldwide. The Corrumpere bring with themselves a wealth of money, a vast collection of knowledge, a wide assortment of tools all to pillage new lands and rivers for valuable metals and to deforest the once mighty woodlands of their new conquests.
The Corrumpere are cunning, well educated and typically wealthy, though they are often lazy and fail to take matters into their own hands. They opt instead to hire others to handle situations even those dealing with the greatest thorn in their side, the Priores. Corrumpere enjoy killing Priores for sport, occasionally for food, but mostly they spend the time capturing them to make slaves and full use of their unique gifts.
Common Species:
Vrykolakas:
Various supernatural beings, the Vrykolakas are what night terrors are made of. Most common are Vampires, succubus, incubi, and traditional demons. Vrykolakas typically have some form of mental power, or shapeshifting ability to allow them to integrate themselves in the human world without notice. They tend to have a more threatening presence, are less likely to be picked on by bosses and superiors and are more likely to be in a position of power than doing grunt work, although humans write it off as their disposition, nothing supernatural about it.

Side note: Although humans are the majority, there is still a limited supply. Draining a human to death is frowned upon and may cause scorn from fellow Vrykolakas as well as Peacekeepers.
Humans:
The vast majority in the world. Humans have freely joined into service with the Vrykolakas; their greed and desire to expand being far greater than their concern for their own safety. Greed and power are the driving force for their current leadership sending men as meals for the Vrykolakas as well labor. Ships full of fresh young faces, eager to make their mark on the new frontier are constantly arriving in Tallulah Port, although the supply has yet to outweigh the demand for labor and livestock.!

Side Note: The rush for silver in Argento has greatly reduced the amount of Vrykolakas back home. This has lead to a time of peace and growth that human leaders take pride in.
Weres:
Humans born with a single animal form and are able to shift between the two at will, after their first change; typically during times of duress, stress or after puberty. Legends tell that these creatures are able to have a strange hybrid man-beast form though no one is willing to admit to having actually seen such a creature. Weres social structure imitates that of the natural animal they become, resulting in packs, herds, flocks, loners, and many other dynamic structures.
