Corrumpere

The Information here is a guide, you may use it or not. If your version of a species listed below doesn't match that is fine, variety is the spice of life after all.

Vrykolakas

Vampire are creatures of the night, they are able to sustain their life force through drinking the blood of other creatures. Each creature is different due to it’s base creature and the version of the infection which turned the target as such the blood necessary is different, though most if not all are able to drink human and mortal blood freely. In the same way the blood of the Elf and Half-elf are capable of killing a vampire outright.

  • Typically have some form of compulsion or mind altering magic

  • If they do not have something of that sort they have one unique form of magic.

  • Vulnerable to beheading, silver, fire and the blood of elves.

    • They can be hurt by Divine Magic easily.

    • Divine spaces refuse entry for a vampire, even when invited.

  • Other specifics vary creature to creature.

  • They are only able to turn Humans, Mortals and Shifters of those two species. If they turn a shifter that shifter loses the ability to shift and instead gains Vampiric abilities.

  • Dhampirs are very rarely possible by breeding a vampire and a human. The female rarely survives the process of childbirth.

Succubus / Incubi are demons who specialize in the gathering of energy from the people of the world. They can fed from anything other than a Halfling which poisons and weakens them should they fed from a

halfling. They are able feast upon one strong emotion that they pick upon birth, how they can collect, consume and use this emotion is up to the creature in question. They are born from a union between a Demon and a suitable host.

  • Their abilities vary widely depending on what emotion they aim to collect.

  • They are capable of breeding with anything. An Incubus and a Succubus are the same creature, one suspects that the seed of males who lay with a Succubus allows her Incubus form to impregnate women. Typically they pick and remain in one form but they can change at will.

Demons are the physical form corruption takes in the world. Typically they are only able to control one of the classical seven deadly sins. This control extends to the ability to influence or cause it in those who are targeted by the ability. They are the rulers of the Corrumpere, running things from the shadows. Those who show their faces or directly influence events are often made into a large target and often end up being targeted by various hunting groups and removed from the world.

  • They can not perform any magic from the Argento Region.

  • They are naturally gifted in controlling one of the seven sins. Or a similar ability, they will not often admit what their ability is. Though there is always a tell such as a scent when the ability is in use.

  • Spells of the Divine and the Arcane exist to dismiss and banish the demon back to their own plane of existence. Though there is a chance they could be sent to a different plane (25% unless you know exactly where the creature is from.)

    • The Divine spells typically impose a formal restriction with a number of years before they can even begin to gather the resources to return. Though the number of divine casters worldwide, capable of this ability is countable upon one hand.

    • The Arcane version impose a day or two lock out.

      • The greatest cost to either form is the amount of resources the Demon would have to spend to return. Their abilities are severely weakened upon return. Allowing proper death, should they be caught and killed within a week of their return to the mortal plane.

Unknown the world is vast, and surely in this large unknown world things never seen before will come out of the woodwork. Prior to the arrival of the Corrumpere only rumors existed of most of those species. So, the Oathkeepers are always looking for those unique creatures which are different and new. To study, to observe and to recruit if possible.

Humans

Humans the most numerous of races these make up the bulk of the labor and food stock for the others. Those of this sort of humanity typically are greedier than the Mortals, and have a faintly skewed world view. They are often easily tempted and corrupted, though that is not to say they are without hope. These are the creatures who are able to adapt to nearly any situation and find a way to not only survive but thrive in the adverse or dangerous situation.

  • Average Lifespan (60+2d20) years

  • They have no natural gift of magic well inside the territory of the Vrykolakas.

    • Outside of it, free of their corruption they have are extremely talented. Able to adapt to most forms of magic fairly quickly. Though it is very rare for one to be trained in any forms of magic.

    • Vrykolakas have made an unnatural form of magic which mimics some of their abilities

      • Compulsion / Mind Control

      • Destroying Nature, corrupting those targeted.

      • Rumors linger that somewhere… Necromancy is being taught and practiced but it seems to be extremely underground and very small amounts of death magic.

Weres

Werewolves no known werewolves have ever been found. The assumption is they are capable of strength on par with a wolf in human form. Details are lacking due to a lack of specimen.

Weretigers are able to shift at will from human form to that of a large tiger. Their abilities are enhanced due to their dual nature. Unlike a shifter who is able to only mimic up to the levels of the creature's normal abilities. In human form their strength, speed, endurance and such are all determined by their human and animal abilities, they seem to be multiplied in some way. This increase in abilities carries over to animal forms. This strength seems to double when they take the form of a Man-tiger…. This form seems to be extremely rare and only the subject's father exhibited it so far.

  • Lifespan is longer than normal (130+4d10)

  • Weakness to Silver, Spells, Poison

  • Healing Factor but it seems to alter randomly.

Were-others the assumption is they scale up just like the Weretiger, with abilities on par with the animal they are able to shift into, though most assume weres have to change into a form of a predator. This has not been proven as of the moment!
