Name
AtsuSami “温沙美” Her name means “Warm, beautiful sand” coming from the colour of her hair. Miori “美央莉” “Beautiful center gem” is her family’s surname.
Age
Her body appears to be in its late teens/early twenties, though her actual age is just over eight hundred years old.
Species
Kitsune
Occupation
None
Faction
Definitely not Corrumpere… she hates the cities. However she doesn’t really align with any other faction either, despite leaning more towards Priore.
Appearance
When AtsuSami is in her human form, she appears to be a thin, taller woman, standing at about five foot-six inches (1.68 meters) and weighing only around one hundred and ten pounds (50 kg.). Her long, whitish, sandy blonde hair is usually pulled into nine braids that flow behind her, each ending in a golden ring and her eyes appear to be almost sapphire-like in appearance with a ring of red around her pupils. The clothing she wears is usually loose and airy with many gold and wood bracelets, beads and other jewelry around her neck, arms, and legs. She refuses to wear shoes of any kind, because they “feel restricting”.
When she is in her true form, her hair flows freely behind her, only disrupted by the large fox ears that poke out the top of her head that replace those in her human form. Nine long, elegant fox tails that match her hair, all but the dark, brownish black tips. Her hands are thin and boney and her feet seem more lupine do to walking on her toes, even in her human form; both tipped with inch-long, razor sharp claws. In this form she sometimes goes without a top which is just a product of her somewhat wild nature. She has a golden fox mask that fits over her ears, covering ruby red eyes.
Personality
AtsuSami is wild and chaotic, with a bit of a cruel streak about her. Her old ways peek out from time to time when she is around someone she finds interesting or likes, becoming a bit softer and somewhat kind, but overall she is mischievous, playful, cruel, and vicious. She prefers to stay within the Pregos forest and the Towering Heights area, hating everything about the smog and loud metal vehicles as well as the rough architecture.

Special abilities
AtsuSami is very fluent in Ki manipulation and magic, naturally able to use light magic but also a certain amount of dark Ki she gained from the power she stole from her brother. She does not use magic as much as manipulation, being able to keep a few separate abilities up at once.
Equipment
She carries a set of four different Japanese swords; a Tanto, Shoto, Katana, and Nodachi which are all made in a similar style, each having gold guards and pommels, silver blades, and brown leather wrapped handles as well as scabbards wrapped similarly. She can tie the swords to her true form so they are not visible in human form, though usually she keeps the dagger-like Tanto at her side in human form.
AtsuSami also tends to leave one or two in her small den, that lies in the Pragos Forest, close to the Towering Heights.
Background
AtsuSami Miori was born long ago into a high class family in pre-feudal Japan and was raised well by her caring mother and father, as well as the servants and samurai who served them. Their family had always been very secretive and hid their personal life and ways from most of the population, only their servants, who were sworn to silence when it came to the topic of the Miori family. Part of the secrecy was the fact that the family had a daughter after their first son who seemed to be very different in appearance to the rest of them, even for a kitsune. Her skin was paler than any other and her whitish, sandy coloured hair set her apart from the rest of them but most of all was the red rings around her pupils that stood out against the blueness of her eyes, which had not been seen in either of her parents, brother, or any of the ancestors as far back as they could remember. Since her mother very rarely appeared in public and spent most of her time in the garden, an affair was deemed implausible, so eventually they set the matter aside and loved her all the same. As she began to grow older, she spent a lot of time running around and playing in the garden with her mother and sometimes her brother would join in for the sake of humoring her. She was a bright light in their family’s dull day to day life of politics, always bringing a smile to them, even in their worst of times. This trait of hers caused everyone to fawn over her and brush their oldest son aside more times than anyone cared to say. For this, a certain amount of jealousy and maybe even hate burned within the brother. When she was around 16 years old, she tended to sit and watch her brother train in the yard, watching every movement, memorizing every lesson his teachers taught, and when no one was around practiced the motions, becoming very adept at using her imaginary blades to cut down foes that only she could see. One day her brother found her in the middle of practice, not making himself known until she was finished, her ending it with leap that flung her high into the air and a twirling strike into the invisible enemy, that in all honesty would probably have killed any man who wasn’t fast enough to block it. After this he gave a cough to alert her that he had been watching and walked away leaving her nervous and afraid of what he was going to say to their parents.

The duel lasted but a few short minutes, ending with him disarmed and her blade at his throat. AtsuSami, never having lost her child-like light felt proud of herself and jumped around gleefully before reaching to help her brother off the ground where he lay, confused and angry at her for taking away the one thing he felt he had over her. He took her hand all the same and put on a face of pride, that his little sister had finally pulled one over on him. That night, when she let her let her guard down and they were sitting in the garden conversing, as the companionable siblings she thought they were, he took advantage of the moment and stole the one thing she’d worked her life for. He forced himself upon her and as the night dragged on, her screams and cries went unheard as her four tails became five. She ran far and fast hurt, confused, and scared of every shadow she passed. Her child-like light was gone, replaced by anger, sadness, and pain. AtsuSami’s heart became darkened and bitter, her mind became chaotic and maddened. As the years passed she grew stronger and more powerful wallowing in the darkness of her heart. After many years she began searching for her brother, but when she found him, he was no longer the spiteful man who had harmed her in such a heartless way.
To her surprise, her ladylike teachings were set aside and instead were focussed to honing her power and fine tuning her fighting style. More often than not she was pitted against her brother in sparring where he used cheap tactics and unorthodox techniques to take her down each and every time they fought, seeming to enjoy putting her in her place. This back and forth went on for hundreds hundreds of years, their sibling rivalry growing more and more intense, yet still staying friendly outside of training, her brother’s jealousy seemed to dissipate and become more loving towards her, like they were as small children. When AtsuSami gained her fourth tail, she had grown to not see the need for a mate and wanted to strengthen what power she had instead of becoming a NineTails like the rest of her family. Her brother scoffed at her choice saying that she would never be able to beat him if she stayed on this path, but despite his words she stayed to her choice and grew her strength and when her four tail were as strong as they could possibly be, she challenged him to a duel. By this time her brother had gained up to seven of his tails and thought himself superior to her, his nature had changed with his power, becoming corrupt and self indulgent.
Instead of the satisfaction he thought he would feel after what he had done, it gnawed at him and after only a year he set out to try and find her, and make up for what he’d done, but when he couldn’t find her, he instead devoted himself to helping people, whether by healing them or providing counsel when they needed it most. Seeing what his actions had turned her into only hurt him more and made him want to take back his action more than anything. AtsuSami tried to force herself to kill him, but only ended up taking for herself the power of one of his tails, which held the last of his darkness, and fled, feeling even more confused and broken than she had before.
After several long years she began to accept who she’d become and what had happened to her. Her mind was slowly mending itself but in a twisted ghost of who she once was, becoming a mixture of playful kindness and cruel, sadistic tendencies. Somewhere along the path of her long life, she found herself traveling over the seas, seeing foreign lands and experiencing what they had to offer. This traveling eventually led to her being one of the first to come to Argento and see a new part of the world, however, the first chance she had to disappear into the wilds she took, settling deep within a remote part of the forest, far away from others. Over the many years she’s been spotted several times, seeming to disappear and reappear in other parts of the area; this has earned her a place in local legend as the “Nine Tailed Goddess” referring to her as a sort of protector of the forest. AtsuSami doesn’t know of these rumors and myths, as she keeps solely to herself unless she finds a person who interests her, only then does she follow them for the sake of curiosity; even rarer are the instances when she actually interacts with them, she is open to changing this behavior though.
